Need For Mirrors is back on V with Flowers, a four-track EP full of space, rhythm and low-end pressure.

Need For Mirrors has always had his own way of doing things. Less clutter, more movement. Tunes that roll without shouting, built around small details, weighty basslines and grooves made for DJs to roll out with. "Flowers came together from a place of trying to pull different energies into Drum & Bass without overthinking it," he says, and that pretty much sums up the EP.

The title track is a hypnotic Afro-house-meets-D&B roller, built around a tribal vocal sample and a rhythm that keeps circling. Roly Poly taps into a playful Full Cycle / classic V kind of energy, loose and rolling in all the right places. Moonman takes things further out, progressive and bassline-led with an astral feel, while Rip & Dip rounds things off with dubbed-out stepper pressure.
